All staff will be given either in-service training specific to the needs of the service users, and external courses to ensure that they are fully trained
in compliance with legislation.
All staff have a comprehensive induction training program as the first stage of continuous personal and professional development. All training complies with the
requirements of the National Standards.
Staff play an pivotal role in the service users welfare and development, thus we make the following commitments:
We employ staff in sufficient numbers, with the correct experience and skills, and ensure that there is an appropriate mix of staff on each shift to meet service
users needs.
We train staff to the required levels set out in the care standards.
PCP offers a range of specialist courses, that are both evidence and value based.
We ensure all staff have a basic certificate in Food Hygiene, First Aid, Manual Handling and Health and Safety, including COSHH training.

We develop staff knowledge to meet cultural and ethnic needs.
Staff are made fully aware of the service users' wishes, are fully briefed about their individual histories and characteristics, and take a full role in the development
of Person Centred Care Plans, and the evaluation of care delivery.

Staff assist and encouraging service users to maintain existing contacts, develop new liaisons, and friendships, and where appropriate and safe to do so,
